The City of Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) with their primary contractor, Gulisek Construction, LLC, have announced their intention to close a portion of outbound Penn Avenue in the Garfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh beginning Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
The closure is required to allow contractors to perform full-depth street reconstruction including the roadway, curb sidewalk, ADA ramps, and traffic signal improvements related to the city's Penn Avenue Phase II Project.
Beginning at approximately 8:00 AM Tuesday morning, March 10, 2026 Penn Avenue will be closed in the outbound direction between Evaline Street and Roup Avenue. Once closed it is estimated the project will continue for approximately two (2) years.
Inbound traffic will be maintained for the length of the project.
