During emergency situations, with intense or long duration rains, storms, snow melts or any combination of the above, when Long Run, a tributary stream that parallels close to much of Long Run Road (SR 48) overflows its banks, PennDOT will initiate the closure of Long Run Road between Lincoln Way in White Oak and Walnut Street in Versailles and McKeesport until flooding recedes and crews can clean the area.
This detour will be enacted only as necessary under such extreme circumstances.
Upon the receding of flood waters, road restoration and re-opening, buses will immediately return to regular route.
