As necessary, during emergencies such as vehicular accidents or extreme ice, snow or flooding conditions, or short term major repairs after such incidents on the McKeesport-Duquesne (Riverton) Bridge, emergency or maintenance crews from Allegheny County, PennDOT or local municipalities (Duquesne, McKeesport) may opt to close the bridge or associated ramps until the situation is rectified.
If such conditions and situations occur, once closed, this detour will be activated until the bridge has re-opened.
Planned or long term construction closures will be provided as necessary in separate detours at those times.
