    Summary:

    The City of Pittsburgh has provided a permit for the annual Soulful Taste of The Burgh "2026 Pittsburgh Soul Food Festival" to close a portion of Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh beginning Thursday evening, September 3, 2026.

    Liberty Avenue will be closed from Stanwix Street to Commonwealth Place beginning Thursday morning, September 3, 2026, from approximately 9:00 AM continuing through the end of the weekend event or through end of service Sunday, September 6, 2026.

    An additional event closure of Stanwix Street between the Boulevard of the Allies and Forbes Avenue will begin the following morning and is detailed on Detour #26-436-0.

    Beginning Friday morning at approximately 10:00 AM this detour, along with Detour #26-436-0, will run concurrently.

    During the dual closures, buses will be able to make the right onto Stanwix Street from Liberty Avenue and also the left onto Liberty Avenue from Stanwix Street.
